The Richmond, VA taxi rates listed below are to serve as a guide for many local and long distance places we travel. The rates below are based from the Richmond airport which is about 9 miles east of downtown Richmond and are for one to four passengers riding together, not per passenger.

   Taxi fares in Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and the City of Richmond are regulated by local law and we are required to charge the exact same amount if you ride in one of our Lincoln Town Cars or vans or any other taxicab in the area. The regulated rates are listed by clicking "Richmond's Taxi" and looking half way down the page to the right of the black Lincoln Town Car.

   Rates shown below that are outside the Richmond region have been significantly reduced from the meter rate to reflect Gentleman Taxi's long distance discounts. These rates are not exact rates as we charge less each way for long distance round trips for example to and from Washington Dulles Airport as opposed to just one way only. We found Washington Flyer Cab, Washington's Airport preferred and contracted cab at their airports, advertising the exact same trip for a whopping $261 compared to our $175 based on round trip to Richmond! Other examples of rate differences from below would be a van which requires additional fuel and discounts may not be as great when local demand is higher during events like Nascar or the Richmond Folk Festival. Weather can also affect rates out of town such as snow or bad driving conditions. Rates inside the metro region never change. Not even in bad weather are we allowed by law to charge a different or higher rate. We are pleased to say that we will always work with you to make your travel easier even if you tell us your finances are a little short. Cash payment will get the best prices possible as credit cards have fees that must be paid by us. Cash receipts are available.
