• $2.50 per mile (.50 per 1/5 mile)
• $2.50 first 1/5 mile
• $1.00 9 pm - 6 am surcharge for night service per trip
• $1.00 per extra person over one (Children 6 and under free) per trip
• $0.50 per every 80 seconds wait charge
• Advise your driver if you will require change from a bill larger than $20 before reaching your destination. You may be able to save money by not having to go beyond your travel route for change. Ask your driver about No Surcharge ATM's in the area.
• Delivery courier service is available. Discounts may be available.
• We do not set the taxi rates we charge as we are regulated same as a public utility. Van taxis have the exact same rates as any other taxi, no extra fees. Rates are set by a regional council and approved by the local government in the areas we serve. All taxis in this region are obligated by local ordinance to charge the set rates and not charge above or below the posted rates for travel inside the region. We appreciate your understanding and hope you will remember to tip your driver generously.
• Go to www.mapquest.com and you can figure the best route and mileage for your trip and then come up with the fare by the rates posted above. Any tolls are the responsibility of the client only while en route to your destination. Cash receipts are available. Please call us if you have any questions or would like more information about our rates or services.
• We never charge a minimum rate for short trips. If you have ever been charged a minimum rate by any cab company, please call the licensing authority at 804-501-7494. Please note, accounts billed for payment may be subject to a minimum billing.There is a $20 minimum when paying by credit card.
• Flat Rates are available on travel outside of the Richmond Metro Region. Flat rates do not include gratuities for the driver. Tipping your driver is encouraged as this is an American custom and your generosity should be based on the level of service received from your driver.

   Gentleman Taxi will take you to the AIRPORT FOR FREE if we fail to pick you up on time when you make your reservation with us by 9:00pm at least the night before. We are very excited to offer our new on time guaranteed service to the airport or there will be no charge. ALL reserved rides to the airport that request a pick up at or before 7:00am will be guaranteed by us that your driver will arrive no later than five minutes of your requested pick up time, or earlier or there will be no charge by us for the ride to the airport. Now, here are the details you will need to know! You must request this guarantee or we may option to offer this guarantee to you when you reserve your airport transportation with us. Your ride must be reserved with us earlier than 9:00pm the night before the requested morning you are departing to the airport. Your cab would only be considered late if the driver arrives at your pick up location later than five minutes from the actual requested pick up time by the time currently posted by Verizon or other cell phone provider. We would also request that you would be ready to depart for your destination when the driver arrives so we can maintain our schedule and arrive on time for others who may have reserved rides after you. This guarantee is only valid for early morning pick ups at or before 7:00am departing to any airport. We are so confident with our service being on time, we want to make one less worry for you, our valued passenger.
